EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Activities dedicated to those who are interesting to participate to dolphin research and conservation campaigns. It is open to anyone age 18 and above, with no special prerequisites concerning research experience. No background knowledge of cetaceans is required, we ask only for you willing to learn about the dolphins and their environment.

The BDRI offers basic, advanced and graduate-level training courses in bottlenose dolphin research on the northeastern coast of Sardinia for one to several weeks all year round.

Working with dolphins is appealing because of strong public interest in these animals and because the work is personally rewarding. An internship with the BDRI requires a lot of motivation and enthusiasm.

A great opportunity is open for marine mammal enthusiasts to participate as volunteers in hands-on research with free-ranging wild bottlenose dolphins along the Emerald Coast, in North Sardinia Island, Italy.

Do you want to be a dolphin researcher? You will be involved in all aspects of the research during a day onboard of our research vessel, and will receive training in survey techniques.
