Trabajos de tesis, maestrías y proyectos de fin de carrera estudiando los delfines con el BDRI

 

Para todos aquellos estudiantes y licenciados en biología, biología marina, ciencias del mar, oceanografía, veterinaria y otras carreras afines el Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute (BDRI) ofrece plazas disponibles para la realización de estancias de investigación y así participar en los proyectos que el centro lleva a cabo.

 

El tipo de trabajo que el BDRI realiza se centra principalmente en la toma de datos ecológicos, ambientales y de comportamiento de los grupos de delfines mulares y marsopas presentes dentro y fuera de la ría de Arousa (Galicia). Se trata de una oportunidad única para formar parte de un proyecto de alto valor científico (avalado por numerosas publicaciones científicas) y colaborar en que se pueda llevar a cabo. Aunque el proyecto está concentrado en el estudio de la ecología y comportamiento de los delfines mulares, se llevan a cabo estudios paralelos sobre la distribución y presencia de marsopas y delfines comunes, además de toma de datos sobre las numerosas especies de aves marinas.

 

Las estancias de investigación están abiertas a todas aquellas personas interesadas en participar en el trabajo de campo y en el conocimiento de las técnicas de estudio de los mamíferos marinos, así como trabajar y convivir con un equipo internacional de biólogos y estudiantes de diferentes partes del mundo. Los participantes pueden solicitar como parte de la estancia de investigación la realización de una tesis de maestría o de fin de carrera bajo la supervisión de los biólogos del BDRI.
