We are pleased to announce that we are currently accepting applications for our educational programs for the 2024 research season.


COVID19 update: The BDRI is normally carrying out its research projects and onsite educational programs in Galicia (NW Spain). In acknowledgment of the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, we have instituted safety measures. Feel free to contact us for more information.

- Onsite Internships -

Applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

 

We are currently accepting applications for internships taking place in O Grove, Spain:
- between January 15th and November 29th 2024.

 

- 2024 holidays (non-working days) (preliminary schedule): March 19, 28 & 29, May 1 & 17, July 15 & 25, August 15, October 12, November 1 & 8.

Long-term internship applications

Prior approval is necessary for registration. Long-term internships at BDRI offer bachelor's and master's students year-round opportunities to undertake thesis, dissertation, or report writing during their stay.

 

BEFORE APPLYING

✓ Review the INTERNSHIP PAGE and the BDRI INTERNSHIP GUIDELINES AND POLICIES.

✓ Select your preferred internship period (dates are flexible) with a minimum stay of 4 consecutive weeks.

 

APPLY FOR INTERNSHIP - Submit your application by email

✓ Your internship application must include the completed application form (available for download HERE), a letter of interest, and a resume (CV).

✓ Applicants are strongly encouraged to request a reference from a professor or an individual familiar with their academic or professional background. References should be sent directly to us via email at internship@thebdri.com. Alternatively, applicants may include a letter of recommendation from professors or research supervisors along with their application.

✓ Email your application form and accompanying files to: internship@thebdri.com.

 

Upon receipt of your complete application at BDRI, you will receive an automatic email acknowledgment. Applications will be evaluated based on the provided information. Positions are generally offered to candidates whose application materials indicate they will derive the greatest educational benefit from this opportunity compared to other candidates.

✓ Select your preferred internship period (dates are flexible) with a minimum stay of 5 consecutive weekdays.

 

APPLY FOR VOLUNTEERING AT BDRI- Submit your application by email

✓ Your short-term internship application must include the completed application form (available for download HERE), a letter of interest, and a resume (CV).

The application will be evaluated and accepted based on the information provided. Positions are typically offered to applicants whose admissions materials convey that they will - relative to other candidates - make best use of, and most benefit from, this educational opportunity.

- Online Training Courses Applications -

The Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute (BDRI) provides distinctive Online Training Courses aimed at enhancing participants' understanding and acquiring new skills in marine mammal ecology and behavior.

These courses are available year-round.

- Researcher for a day Applications -

Prior approval is required for registration to our Research for a day Program, and dates are flexible based on availability.
