The Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute (BDRI) is an independent marine science center dedicated to research, education, and conservation of marine mammals and marine birds. The mission of the BDRI since 2005 has been to study marine biodiversity and to educate scientists, students, decision-makers, and the public on scientific research and how to contribute to marine conservation. Our research team also trains future generations of marine scientists and are committed to understanding and reducing the impact of human activities on the marine ecosystems. BDRI’s reputation and success rest solidly on its ability to publish multiple scientific studies in prestigious scientific journals, participate in international conferences and workshops.
We are seeking like-minded individuals and organizations to achieve our goal of carrying out new research projects and educational programs that ensures marine mammals and their environment will persist for future generations.
Your interest and support in BDRI research programs is a reflection of your commitment to the future of marine mammals and their environments.

We work to develop secure, win-win and long-term relationships. Your support enables us to carry out research and educational projects that contribute to the knowledge and conservation of marine biodiversity. Every donation we receive is 100% directed to the marine research, conservation, and educational programs. Marine research at sea is very expensive (maintainance and fuel for the research vessels are among the main costs of our activities) so thank you very much for believing in our work and contributing to our research efforts.
The Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute BDRI is a non-profit research and conservation organization NIF. G94172806. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by Spanish laws.
A donation in any amount will help! Make your sponsorships now and stay tuned to see what we discover thanks to your help as we monitor Galician waters (NW Spain) to learn more about marine megafauna, marine environment, and climate change.
Donations can be made by bank transfer to:

One of the aims of BDRI is to train future researchers in marine mammals science by offering a wide range of programs and opportunities for students at all stages of their development. In addition to the marine research activities, we undertake rigorous educational programs providing work experience opportunities: internship positions, volunteering, training courses, and university project placements for bachelor and master students throughout the year.
Our educational programs aim to prepare students for a professional career in the research of marine mammals, marine birds, and conservation of the marine environment. So, if you want to be a part of this unique experience and are a person who is interested in going abroad and obtaining hands-on experience in scientific research, boat based field work, intensive training while having fun and meeting people from all over the world, then these are the programs for you.
